Luca Alinari
Luca Alinari (Florence, 1943 – 2019) was one of the most eclectic and recognisable figures of contemporary Italian art. Born in Florence, the city where he lived and worked, he first pursued literary studies before devoting himself entirely to painting, which became the central thread of his life.
Over an intense career rich in institutional recognition, with major exhibitions at Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and prestigious museums in Italy and abroad, Alinari developed a unique visual language. His constant experimentation blends intense, fluorescent colours with the skilful use of decals, collage and photographic transfers, creating mental landscapes suspended between dream, irony and visual fairy tale.
