Giacomo Vaccaro
Giacomo Vaccaro was born in Sassetta on 26 October 1953 and soon became a Livorno artist in every sense. He received his first box of paints at the age of six, and at seven he won the “La Rosa d'oro” prize awarded by the municipality of Rosignano Marittimo; his first guidance came from Giovanni March, while his relationship with the master Ferruccio Mataresi shaped his training.
A member of the Gruppo Labronico, he has a harmonious touch and vivid colours that bring luminosity to his work. He paints landscapes, everyday life and architecture – country views, old mills, Livorno seascapes and still lifes – and is also an admired portraitist. He has exhibited in Italy and abroad, and his works are held in collections in Rome, Milan, Florence, London, Brussels and Paris.
His oil paintings are original artworks and can be custom framed in our workshop in Livorno.
