Bruno Saetti
Bruno Saetti (Bologna, 1902 – 1984) è stato un maestro del realismo espressionista italiano e un incisore di altissimo profilo. Formatosi all'Accademia di Bologna, dove in seguito ha a lungo insegnato, ha saputo rifiutare le mode delle avanguardie per concentrarsi su una pittura severa, densa di spiritualità e di rigorosa volumetria.
Celebre per le sue iconiche Maternità, per i nudi e per i paesaggi intrisi di luce e materia, Saetti ha ottenuto i massimi riconoscimenti istituzionali, tra cui il prestigioso Premio Feltrinelli per la Pittura dell'Accademia dei Lincei.
