Bruno Saetti
Bruno Saetti (Bologna, 1902 – 1984) war ein Meister des italienischen expressionistischen Realismus und ein Grafiker höchsten Ranges. Ausgebildet an der Akademie von Bologna, an der er später lange lehrte, wandte er sich von den Moden der Avantgarde ab und konzentrierte sich auf eine strenge Malerei voller Spiritualität und stringenter Volumetrie.
Berühmt für seine ikonischen Mutterschaften, seine Akte und seine von Licht und Materie durchdrungenen Landschaften, erhielt Saetti die höchsten offiziellen Auszeichnungen, darunter den renommierten Premio Feltrinelli für Malerei der Accademia dei Lincei.
