Claudio Pallini
Claudio Pallini was born in 1943 in Livorno, where he still lives and works today. Self-taught, over the years he mastered oil painting techniques and refined his work under the guidance of the master painter Francesco Maria Pieri.
Pallini can certainly be counted among the “figurative” artists: his subjects, compositions and colour palette make his paintings sought after by admirers and collectors around the world.
His works offer a glimpse of rural life. Each image captures a single moment that tells the story of Tuscan life in the post-war years – simple, authentic peasant life – and of the landscapes, views, farmhouses and sea that embody the beauty and identity of our land, admired the world over. Devoted to the landscape, which he renders with strength and with a vibrant, intense brushstroke born of his study of perspective and light, he sensitively captures the colours of the seasons, the reds and burnt tones, highlighting the work of man and the silence of the farmhouses so characteristic of the Tuscan countryside. For the Livorno painters of the Scuola Labronica, rooted in the post-Impressionist and post-Macchiaioli tradition, landscape is one of the principal subjects, often inspired by evocative seascapes and rural settings. In his paintings colour clearly prevails over drawing, in full keeping with the Impressionist, en plein air approach.
Every painting by Claudio Pallini expresses moods he has lived through. His painting springs from an inner need to represent, through images and colours, a reality that stirs sincere emotions in both artist and viewer and calls to mind the works of the great masters who inspire him.
Pallini is a great artist and a serious professional who devotes himself entirely to painting, which for him is life and love. His complete dedication has been rewarded by enormous and ever-growing acclaim from critics and the public alike.
His works can be found in numerous galleries in Italy and abroad and in private and public collections in Switzerland, Germany and France, and they are much sought after in the United States, where the Tuscan land is loved and coveted.
