Born in Civitavecchia and working from his studio in Livorno, Lyon Ray builds his artistic poetics on a constant, close dialogue between past and present. Deeply fascinated by history and ancient art, with echoes of masters of contemporary photography and painting such as Mimmo Jodice and Luca Pignatelli, he uses mixed media, digital processing and hand-applied acrylics and pastels.

In his works, icons, myths and forgotten classical masterpieces are rescued from oblivion and brought back to life, placing great History back at the heart of contemporary visual sensibility.
