Gianfranco Autunnali is a painter who works with the primary colours – red, blue and yellow – and often places a simple form at the centre of the canvas, such as a flower or a sprig of foliage, within a deliberately undefined pictorial space.

Recurring subjects include vintage cars and the Vespa, sunflowers and calla lilies, as well as landscapes with houses and villages. His work has been exhibited in the cloister of the Co-Cathedral of Piombino.
