Andrea Agostini was born in Ancona in 1964. After graduating from the Istituto Statale d’Arte in his home city, he continued his training at ISIA in Urbino, where he specialised in design and visual communication.

In 1989 he began teaching Graphic Design at the “Fortunato Depero” Istituto d’Arte in Rovereto. He later moved into the worlds of communication and fashion, working in styling, graphic design and textile design.

Alongside this, he developed his own artistic research, coming to describe his works as “visual communications”: images marked by vivid colours, symbolic elements and poetic phrases, intended to convey positive emotions, dreams and lightness. Recurring subjects include lighthouses, moons, hot-air balloons, the sea, flowers and symbolic figures.

His works can be found in many Italian galleries and include screen prints, mixed media and textured works, as well as intaglio prints and pieces retouched with gold leaf.

Agostini has also worked in publishing as an illustrator, contributing to projects devoted to children and communication, including illustrations for J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan and for the Marche Region's intercultural project.

His artistic work continues alongside teaching and visual communication: he has taught at ISIA in Urbino and, more recently, at the Accademia PoliArte in Ancona.
